Send a note to their support folks - they are very responsive. Also, make sure that your exit rule can be triggered, just in case. Try something simple like close above ma(5).

I'll try that. I have a RSI(4) GT 55 rule. Pretty easy to me. I'll do a MA and see. Thanks.

I read lots of what everyone posts here but all of you are so much more knowledgeable than me, I have nothing to offer &, to be honest, am intimidated. I'm pretty sure I understand this, but I better ask. When a stock hits the filter today, I should put in a buy for tomorrow at 6% below today's close, isn't that right? I'm asking because I haven't gotten an entry yet...that's maybe 10 days or so. Thanks for any comment, Frank

@Oldsmar52: That is correct. These are high probability setups, but they do not trigger frequently. However, when they do they are usually good trades. You can easily set up these as limit orders before the market opens and not have to monitor them intraday.

Do not commit more than 10-20% of your trading capital into any one trade, however. That is just sensible money management.

oldsmar, why don't you post your filter results each evening? If it helps we can (as a group) discuss the ones that triggered, how the trade is going, where we exited, etc., (unless Kevin, originator of this thread, prefers we start a different thread to do that).

No need - it looks like oldsmar is using the filter as intended. I am trading a variation of this using Prodigio right now, in both a long-only and long-short strategy setup. There are some glitches in the new version of Prodigio that I hope they corrected quickly. My exits do not seem to be triggering at the open on the expected day.

I've got a handle on what Kevin suggests, I just can't get an entry. I work, so this is an ideal filter for me, just can't get in. Today, for example, 6 hit the filter:
1) XCO closed at 6.47-limit for tomorrow at 6.09
2) GRMN closed at 39.30-limit for tomorrow at 36.95
3) CRK closed at 14.03-limit for tomorrow at 13.19
4) HA closed at 6.59-limit for tomorrow at 6.20
5) INT closed at 39.47-limit for tomorrow at 37.11
6) ONE closed at 11.28-limit for tomorrow at 10.61

Kevin's thread with this filter fits me perfectly, I just can't get in anything ...................Frank

I have the same 6 stocks. Entering in the last week or so has been futile -- I guess the filter is super selective!

Kevin-Zero-or Anyone: I'm thinking ahead here & I'll use ONE from the above as an example. I offered to buy it at 6% below yesterday's big drop, and it is down 5% today. Would anyone recommend getting in it down 5% or would you consider it as a buy tomorrow if it is down X % again? Thanks for any thoughts!! Frank
