Riggs, forgive my ignorance, but i'm a brand newbie just trying to understand the dashboard and the +10 spread you speak of on Bollinger Band Squeeze (for Longs, not Shorts)
On the August 4th run, when I sort by performance "Since%" in descending order...best performance at the top... the top performers seem to have the LEAST diff. between "Weekly RSI(2) "and "RSI(2)" columns.
I know I've missed something basic here. Help!
Thanks, Lynn

You're wrong. If you offset it at 3, you'll get results from Aug. 5th right? Well, 7or the first 9 look like this...
CHC.....26-56 DIFF +30
WRC....49-76 DIFF +27
RMD.....63-82 DIFF +19
TSO......12-31 DIFF +19
SNCI....33-75 DIFF +42
CEVA...19-56 DIFF +37
PMCS..26-62 DIFF +36
...so I cant imagine what you're seeing. It's quite clear
that when the weekly really moves, so does price. I hope
this helps a little....

Thanks! So I can't go back and look at August 4th now, because the offset is no longer 3 but 4? I was just trying to go back to August 4th to follow what you said earlier in the thread about that day 8/4/08. ..I've been reading alot of earlier posts to try to catch up and catch on. August 5th is as you point out, is a different story!
Thanks for your patience and all the great teaching you do in the Forums!
Brilliant filters!...I'll be glad when I finally become worthy of them!

Hi Lynn. There's a date offset box just to the left of "download csv" that allows you to see August 4th and follow what Riggs said. I had the same problem at first being a newbie also. You'll see what Riggs means when you compare the two columns.

WSG:
I noticed that in subsequent postings of your squeeze filter you omitted the following line that was present in the original filter:
FI(2) is above FI(2) 1-day ago
Curious to know why. Was this extraneous?
Thanks.

"Extraneous?"...Not really. But my filters DO depend on indicators that rise from the ashes, while price is falling. Force Index(2) is one of the very few that do. It's a powerful glimps into future price action. But COG(5,3) works well, Williams(2), and Projection Oscillator(14) also are neck-n-neck with each other. I chose FI(2) only because "I" depend on it like a baby depends on a nipple. But it moves fast...so you better know how to use it, and when NOT to use it. But the reason for the change was nothing more than something I noticed in the idicator itself. Seems to work better without it IMO....

Hello WSG,
I just found this thread yesterday. Looks super interesting. I have tried to follow some of the examples but doesn't seem like I can go back to 2008 August to see how the examples set up. I don't know if you are still active on SF. If you are, could you do a recent run of the filter and point out some of the the stocks that look good.
I have run offsets from 9/10/09 up thru the last 2 or three days and find that the results of the filter are subject to the market action. Not as many good looking stocks now as were at the beginning of the last uptrend.
Wondering if it is possible to still use the filter in a down market? Or does it only make good picks when market is trending up?
Thank you in advance for your help.

What kind of an answer is that?
I thought Stock Fetcher forums were here for helping people.
