..a perfect filter or the 'holy grail' would you seriously share it with others? Let's not forget that we are in this game to make money for ourselves and most care little about everyone else. Sites selling systems and books are a dime a dozen. These yahoos claim to be wanting to help you but all they are really doing is selling you a system so they can make their money since obviously their system didn't make them any money.

Thoughts?!

I personally don't think I would, not because I don't want to help others, but because I do. And if I developed such system, I would start my own fund.

I give away all of the filters/indicators I could because I can.

When I see someone selling trading systems, the first thing I think is "if it was any good then why aren't you on a tropical island or beach?" So, I can't sell my stuff or I would be one of those guys.

I know my systems work. So do a few others.

It is really simple to make money trading but most people complicate matters.

It's as simple as drawing one horizontal line on the chart and only trading in the direction of the crossover. If you don't believe me, draw a horizontal line at the open price and look at any 1 minute chart. If all you do is go long when it crosses above and short when it crosses below, you can make money, if you are not greedy. GOOG, AAPL and HANS are great examples.

The market is so big, I can give away everything I code because I can't trade every trade.

MAY ALL YOUR FILLS BE COMPLETE.

As a variation of the horizontal line draw trend lines and trade bounces and crosses.Keep it very simple.Don't complicate unnecesarilly.Trading can be simple either grab a quick profit or use a follow stop or trend line break to close out.

Here's a link with info to warn off anyone CONsidering "Wizetrade", a system which is being advertized to death these days on tv. There are very few TRO's out there who really know what they're doing and, because they have an abundance mentality, are not afraid to share their insights. I would say 99% of those touting stock picking methodologies/systems are crooks. Instead of spending money on someone elses system, spend time creating your own. Even in that process, the creating of one's own system, it's very easy to deceive even oneself, overlooking negative data and overemphasizing the positives. Just think how much more inclined and likely it is for us to be decevied by others who really don't give a rats a** about our success or failure? Exceptions exist (aka Avery, the rumpled one), but they are RARE. Here's the link:

WizeTrade:

The infomercial I saw clearly stated that you would NOT have to read charts.

I went to the free seminar and purchased their system.

When I went to the learning seminar, they said we had to look at a chart (looked like a MACD or Stochastics to me) for a "grand cross". Of course, I demanded my money back and got it.

Not to mention, by the time I got a trade signal, the trade was over.

Just another reason I give my stuff away. I do NOT want to be associated with "system sellers".

And I will match my SLOT MACHINE against ANY system out there.

TRO,

May I play the devil's advocate and ask why ure giving ure "system" away for free? To me, ure explanation is question begging. At worst, it's plausibly more culpable than those who sell their system because when I lose money using ure system you know that you cannot be held responsible. Or will you just blurt out "IT AIN'T WHAT YOU TRADE, IT'S HOW YOU TRADE DAMMIT!"?

I ain't trying to argue with you, just wanna point you to what ure potential critics might think.

I am "paying it back" and "paying it forward".

Critics, who cares?

There's too much money to be made, so why focus on critics?

not so sure. I mean business is business. Most people would simply never give away al ltheir hard research for free.

so on this premise why not have ago at Warren buffet and George Soros etc for manging billions? They could retire on an "islan tomorrow" but they choose not to. What's wrong with that?

But I will admit there is a lot of B*S* out there. Like in all businesses. Companies give peope what they "want" They want fancy technical trading methods that give high probability trades...and if it sells for $1,000+ who's the fool?
