I believe this filter will be the final chapter of DMA. I know I've said it before, but I have to say it for the last time..."you will NEVER need another filter ever again!" A huge special thanks to 'TRO' & 'as214' for bringing all this together and making this possible!

DMA & RSI(2)IS THE "ONLY" WAY!!!

There are no stupid questions, just stupid people.....so, with that being said...is this thing a shorting filter? The charts I am pulling show the strock tumbling after the trigger is identified in almost all counts. Also, will the % gain/loss results invert for shorts? My preferences are set for "long".

I don't know what you could be possibly seeing, but take a look at (WLP)after Friday's close 1/13/06. It closed at $74.89, and it's sitting at the very "BOTTOM" of LR(60). RSI(2)is also below "0" at 0.13 and DMA IS WELL ABOVE CLOSE AT $78.25 You also have a major volume exaustion spike over 7.5 million. And finally, the last candle is a "thrusting tail." So what in the world are YOU seeing in this stock? I can't imagine...Shorting filter? I don't think so....

A little tweak:

Fetcher[
show stocks where DMA(28,-14) is above close
and RSI(2) is below 1

/* TWEAK... USE LOW BELOW INSTEAD OF CLOSE NEAR */

AND LOW IS BELOW bottom Linear Regression Line(60)

and average volume(90) is above 300000
and volume is above 300000

add column DMA(28,-14)
add column RSI(2)
add column Bottom Linear Regression line(60)

Multiple ZOOM LENS */

/* NORMALIZE momentum(12) */

set{moval22, INDPOSITION(momentum(12), 22) * 100}
set{moval60, INDPOSITION(momentum(12), 60) * 100}
set{movalwk, INDPOSITION(weekly momentum(12), 26) * 100}

/* NORMALIZE williams %r(10) */

set{wrval22, INDPOSITION(williams %r(10), 22) }
set{wrval60, INDPOSITION(williams %r(10), 60) }
set{wrvalwk, INDPOSITION(weekly williams %r(10), 26)}

Riggs, I'm still stumbling around this site. I found my "question" before I could reply and scrap my post. Thanks! Luc

Luc, no problem man. I totally understand. We've all been there before. It took me a few months to get acclimated to what goes on around here, and I still sometimes sound like a buffoon. Just ask alf44. Good luck, I'll keep an eye out for ya...

I am computer "challenged". I don't know how to backtest so if I want to evaluate a filter I use the PERFORMANCE link at the top. When I did that with this filter, the results were very average. What am I doing wrong???
