Riggs -- thanks yet again for your kind response and advice. Saved that filter and will be referencing it daily. Your generosity in terms of willinginess to share insights and info do you credit (and do me and others quite a bit of good too!). You and Avery (the venerable "rumpledone") have taught me more than all the books I've read on trading the last few years. And you know, I find both of you guys' exuberent enthusiasm for trading rather telling -- it seems to mark and seperate those who succeed from those who fail in any endeavor. Again, thank you. The combo of dma above, positive divergence from price dip in rsi(2)/cci(7)/williams%r(5) &/or slow stochastic(5,3), candlestick pattern signs, support/resistance indications and overbought/oversold monitoring seem an unbeatable combination --- now it's just a matter of learning to "drive" this thing safely, so to speak. Looks like as214 is already shifting on the fly flawlessly and gaining speed ... just hoping to keep up with you guys! Peace and prosperity to all of us.

Do you have any idea what you're doing to yourself? If you don't run and hide, the villagers will capture you and do terrible things to you! During world war 2, Hitler told the S.S. that if any of them were caught being nice to the Jews, they would lose thier tongues and a left foot!
I think the same holds true here at SF. Those were very kind words you and as214 had to say, but you are opening Pandoras Box and leaving yourselves vonrable for personal attacks when addressing "RIGGS." It's always a safe thing when thanking our mentor THERUMPLEDONE, but when you are caught thanking "RIGGS", then you are due for 40 lashes! So PLEASE, run for your lives! Forfet you even know me, and please I pray you, never mention my name in open court or they'll repo your car's and take your wife & children! LOL.....
Thanks "d" I appreciate it!

Riggs? Riggs who? I was referring to the little known RIGGS Indicator: Random Intrepid Gelatinous Geiger Sensor -- invented by Harvey Floppelfueterstein in the 1700s -- the principle is simple, you say nice things about the indicator and it tells you what stocks to buy, but in a language as yet undiscovered and impossble to translate. Users claim it's infallible but, of course, can't use understand what it's telling them. They can often be seen in old, dusty book stores thumbing through archaic language books, cursing softly to themselves. I'm safe Riggs -- I've never heard of you!

I just need a little help understanding this filter.
You use the DMA(28,-14) and RSI(2)
and it brings up all the companys that match this filter and then what do i look for in each company? Or are all of them bound to be future winners?
Sorry for the lame question but im new..
Thanks in advance.

Dude, relax! We all were new at one time or another. Never be afraid to ask anything here. There are so many people here that like to help, it's not even funny.
Listen, read the entire thread "THIS FILTER WILL MAKE YOU FORGET ALL ABOUT RSI(2). Then read the entire thread "THE ONE & ONLY DOMINATOR! THE NEW DMA(28,-14). I think after checking out those 2 threads, you might have an Idea on how to answer your own questions. But if you still need help, were all here for ya!
DMA IS THE ONLY WAY!

The more I look at the filters utilizing dma(28,-14) and rsi in backtesting just a few months I bewcome more interested in ema(13) and dma(28,-14) crossovers. But for some reason ema(13) crossed below dma(28,-14) doesn't seem to produce the results that we would want. Is it the interpolation of the dma? I am only 4 months old to this site, so it is probably me doing something wrong.
But it is very interesting to look at QQQQ and MSFT most recent moves and note the crossover of dma(28,-14) and ema(13) for almost perfect entry's and exits, just use any of the dma(28,-14) filters and plot ema(13), pretty interesting I'd say..
Anyways lots of great stuff here in SF, proud to be a newbie here...LOL
Thanks in advance if anybody gets it to work!

If you are looking for a great "crossover" with DMA, Then forget about EMA(13), and check out the crossover between DMA & Time Series Forecast(50)! When TSF(50)starts traveling downward from above and then crosses below DMA, there will be a HUGE explostion in price! There wont be a better LONG situation on the planet! You can see Time Series Forecast(50)over at Prophet.net and over at Marketscreen.com. Backtest this, and you wont believe your eyes......

Primarily a lurker, I appreciate everyone's generosity of spirit and unselfishness in sharing their hard work, years of knowledge and keys to success. In this case, the contributions of TRO and Riggs have proved very helpful. IMO even the criticisms are welcome so long as it's in good conscience and objectively adds to the discussion.
Given that I'm primarily a "taker," I'm happy for the opportunity to contribute. Riggs and TRO, you might want to include the line ""draw tsi(9,5,5)" and watch for the ema(5)/tsi(9,5)crossover. I think you'll find that this particular True Strength Index iteration generates a reasonably reliable signal for both entry and exit for this setup after you get a feel for the nuances including its slope's angle.
Often, in this pullback scenario, it doesn't matter whether the crossover is at -40, 0 or above the histogram. As a matter of fact, in the middle of the move, the leveled or gently upsloping "bridge" above the histogram's rise and fall can prove pretty profitable.
The TSI is not perfect but seems to lend itself to this type decline or chop preceding the start of a new leg signalled by the rising dma -or ma14 :)
I welcome any observations, comments or criticisms.
Thanks
Mike L
