DescriptionDeveloped by Adam White, the Vertical Horizontal Filter(VHF) was designed to determine whether or not stock prices are trending. The VHF is created by dividing the difference between the n-day closing high and low by the sum of the daily price changes (absolute.) Higher values may indicate trending prices, while lower or declining values can indicate congestion.

Examples:

Fetcher[
show stocks VHF(100) reached a new 1 year high
and close is above 5.00
and average volume(30) is above 250000
]



Fetcher[
show stocks where the VHF(200) has been decreasing for the last 1 week
and close is above 5.00
and average volume(30) is above 250000
]
