How would one get the histogram line and the blue shading underneath it both not drawn? I tried "do not draw macd(12,26,9) histogram" and "do not draw macd(12,26,9) divergence".Both negate having any drawing.

did you try settings-charts-indicators? you can change the numbers set ema to 1
