Our's near Little Rock are near $2.21.

I'm paying 1.59 today. Only thing is it's in Euro and per liter..

If my math is correct...Euro$1.59/litre equals USD$7.34/gallon. Ouch.

I lived near St. Louis once. I remember filling up the car when gas was .83 cents. This was in the mid 90s.
Whew.

Hell I remember when it was 30 cents in the 1950's. Of course a dollar would buy a lot more then. My three bedroom house cost about 10500 dollars in So Cal.

I used to get gas for free. In the 60's a lot of self service stations had pumps that filled a glass tank at the top of the pump. I was always broke so I would pull in like I was going to buy gas. The hose was always full when the last paying customer left, so I would drain the hose into my car. About a quart of gas in every hose.
4 hoses = 1 gal. = 15 miles. This way of doing it messes up my trading today.
I'm always at the bottom looking for something for nothing.
