Does anybody think that silver and gold are going to follow the same pattern as it did back in March 2009 to April/May 2011? We will see if silver and gold tops out in April/May 2022.

I've gotta say my 2 cents worth. I believe gold will out perform spy in months to come, however, I do not see any pattern similarities, comparing then and now. It will be interesting to see how the folks at Alpha Architect Merlyn rebalance WIZ.
Question: If we tear down the bronze bull in front of the NYSE, will it erase the past? :=)
Looking forward to other opinions,
Duane

My physical Gold and Silver holdings gains sit at 34.31%. I bought my first silver bar on 11/24/18, which had a spot price of $14.24. My best gold price was $1285 spot, which on bought on 4/26/19. My goal was to diversify some of my savings by buying gold and silver to at least achieve 4x the return of my banks money market rate after expenses. I've also been buying physical silver for my granddaughter instead of traditional gifts. I think dollar cost averaging over the long term is not the worst strategy. Dave Ramsey thinks it's a lousy investment. I watched a video of his where this lady called in in November 2019 and said her $200,000 in gold coins was now worth $100,000. Dave recommended she sell the gold at a lost. Ouch. I would not bet the farm on silver or gold though. I wanted to buy 20 ounces of gold and 1000 of silver. I never achieved that goal before the price took off.

Giving gold to children as gifts is popular in Asia.
A friend at church gave Disney stocks to his grandchildren instead of taking them to Disneyland.
The children were not impressed
