Hello I am no expert on candlestick patterns, but I do know they sometimes have an influence on stocks. So I thought that maybe there was a filter that could be created telling the user which patterns occurred for that specific type of security. I am aware that Mahkoh created a brilliant candlestick filter that is similar to the concept of what I am talking about;
Submit
HOWEVER, if I wanted to add more candlestick patterns, I would not be able to because of Stockfetcher's limit on columns. Along with that there are plenty more candlestick patterns out there. If lets say 40 of them are applied to be looked for, obviously there couldn't be 40 individual columns saying if they occurred or didn't occur for that day, right? So what if the patterns that occurred for the particular day had ONLY their column displayed.
The significance of this is that far more candlestick patterns can be added and the ones that occur for a certain security or filter screen would be displayed. If this did not make clear sense let me make an example;
I have 40 unique candlestick patterns I want looked for to see if any fall under AAPL for the day.
Lets assume Bullish Harami & Bullish Kicking occur for the day.
A column for Bullish Harami & Bullish Kicking would be displayed along with any other candlestick patterns that formed for that day. Any that did not occur would NOT be displayed.
Is this type of filter I am talking about possible? If so, this could save so much time when dealing with candlestick patterns and could be incredibly convenient. So much so, I would literally pay someone a certain amount of $$ to have this created public if needed.
-Thanks

No - you must add all columns to see the contents in them - they always will show up whether or not the specific candlestick pattern was observed.

But the amount of columns that can be displayed is limited, is it not?

I think so - best to ask SF support directly on this one.

I can add 30 columns, not sure if this is different for the basic subscription. But you could always create a new filter to screen for more patterns.

Do you mean like you can add more than 20 candlestick pattern criteria and only the candlestick patterns that occur have their column show up?

No, I can add 30 columns besides Last,Change and Volume. If you want to use more than 30 just create a new filter.

Okay that makes sense, so in that case forget the amount of columns and such, is it possible to only show columns that fit the criteria of specific candlestick patterns?
