I wanted a quick list of the Dow 30 components so I set up a quick filter with only one line. "Index is dow 30". The filtered list
list includes only 29 stocks. Why does it not include all 30 ?

Choose one of these:

Fetcher[apply to sharedlist(Dow30)]

Fetcher[show stocks where index is Dow 30]

Yeah that's what I had been using but was experimenting a bit. If I set up a filter and use "index is dow 30" will it run the filter on a 30 or just 29 ? Its a valid command.....just wondering .

Well now that's interesting. I clicked on that filter and sure enough I also got 30. Built my own and also now gets 30. But then I built another but used "index is s&p 500" and I only get 488......go figure. I guess this damn keyboard is cursed !!!!

Not sure what happens there, I saved that "index is s&p 500" and tried it just a minute ago and got 488. Clicked on the filter here and it came up with 500. Went back clicked n that saved filter and it now shows 500....... this keyboard truly is cursed. !!

Quick question and hope someone can help.
If you offset - say to 2/28/2008 - it does not return results.
Does anyone know how to get the DOW30 using an offset date?
Offset works for the last couple years - but beyond that - nothing.
Is there another way to get an offset for a specific date?

Thank you

Use the ETF and not the index:
DIA  - Dow Jones Industrial Average ETF

- -

"Note: date offset is currently limited to around 1 year of historical data."
