Hi, all -
I'm working on a swing-timeframe pattern.

The following half-baked filter produces a fairly repetitive long-term chart pattern when dropped into various date offsets. What I noticed after a lot of visual scanning was one price dip in particular that tends to occur around two weeks prior to the actual filter trigger signal. It seems that this one zone would be a much better trigger point, ideally along with a few days of price recovery and/or increasing ADX after that drop.

I marked those drops with with "pink pen" in the imgur link here: DROPS

I tried a few ways of expressing that dip (or period of dip) while still getting most of the same chart pattern set up. I tried RSI below 10 for several days between and 20 days ago; I tried price drop, and I tried a slope of the close with offset.

Any ideas on how to work with similar price slope concepts but to aim for signals closer to this price drop area, along with confirmation? I know the closer you get to excluding the full retracement, the...less retraced you'd be. :)

Thoughts?
