All I know is, every so often an opportunity comes around to obvious to ignore and you have to go with it.
I bought hurricane stocks before Harvey as I do every hurricane season when a storm threatens with the intent of a quick swing trade. Irma and Maria followed in quick succession and my picks got me more in one month than I had made all year.
Am I going to stop trading? No, but it was nice to sit back for a month ,do virtually nothing and make nice $$$.
Trading is work and I know soon I'll have to get back to work. I just took advantage of an event when it presented itself.

Insurance brokers' stocks like Marsh & McLennan rose alongside the insurers.
Allstate shares gained 10 percent in the three months after Katrina, Progressive's stock jumped 20 percent, and Chubb shares vaulted 27 percent.

Lol, the market's investment houses won't particularly want everyone to buy and hold. They love the traders out there moving and shaking things up. Commissions bring them instant money.
