We went the Best Buy today and brought a USB extender cord and plug in adapter plus 2 snicker's bar's. Then lady behind the counter asked if I want a bag and if I did she would have to charge me 10 cents for the bag.
The question is - Did I miss something living in this world that a plastic bag will cost you 10 cents per bag at Best Buy now.

Been $.10 in California for years I used to bring my own bag but I said screw it, this is the future and they’ll probably go up to a quarter.

Well the Best Buy I went to was in Little Rock, Arkansas. Guess that's the future now a days.

On the west coast, they have been charging for bags for quite awhile now.

Next, you will see pay toilets are coming to all businesses. Who knows, even get charged for grocery cart rental. The crazy world we live in.

@marine2
Strange you should say that. When I moved to around Little Rock , Arkansas back in the fall of 1989 I had a flight out of Little Rock National Airport in the very early 90's . The bathroom toilet were charging a dime for one to use it. There was so much hell raised that the Little Rock Airport commision stopped the charging of people having to use the bathrooms.

Companies are and will continue to try to find ways to squeeze
a little more money / profit wherever they can.
Airlines charge for overweight bags, fuel surcharge added for
package deliveries. I heard the state of CO is trying to pass
a law to add a delivery charge to add money to their coffers -
due to climate change you know.
It never ends. It is just another form of taxation.
