Springhill,
Just read this mornnigs IBD paper on the front page and it says "Social Security Kitty is driying up faster according to the CBO (Congressional Budget Office).
I guess we will have a big jump ahead of the SSI with the Perpetual Income coming in for the rest of our lives.
Just put in 14k for my grandsons Fidelity account who is only a few weeks old and will be buying MAIN and O for the Perpetual Income and one stock from the MDP folder. 14K / 3 .
Have been doing dhe Perpetual Income since 1986 starting off with ACG with 20k down. compounded the returns and added 400 bux a month (like a car payment) in buying more shares. Stopped at 100,000 shares and split the load evenly with MAIN AND O. Then compounded the dividends (tripling the dividend amount for each) into buying more shares from my list of 38 others. As more funds come in, they will be going into the MDP.
The idea is to let the dolla werk for you and not the inverse.
The MDP was setup for stay at home moms who are the CFO's (chief finanical officer) ;o)). Should only take about 4 hours per week to peruse the list.
Take your time, sit back and enjoy a cup of GMCR ($ 0.47 ) or SBUX via the K-kups or MCD (1 dollar any size) .
Be the spider and let the prey come to you. Enjoy the journey and see ya around the campus.
Best regards,

Morning Novice,
Dontcha love it when a plan comes together.
GASX crossed over and now playing the tunes of do re me ;o)). xover occurred at 10:30am EST @ 14.00. Notice the low bubble and the xover at the bottom panel which is explained in detail in the following paragraph. Now, look at FAZ of the FAZ/FAS tetter totter group. the high bubble appeared and getting out at the next bar. Your can see how the pairs are doing in my MDP. FAS is flying per the 13/50, however, for some side bar action, FAZ is kruzing today.
Not to shabby for day trading. I does not matter which side of the Tetter Totter your sitting on. You will always make some daily bread.
If you got a chance select edit studies, then lookt the Edit studeis and strategies section and kruz on down to the LBR_ThreeTenOscillator and then hit the ? icon then select the more details a the bottom of the box, then kruz to the bottom and notice when to buy the stock as a clue or an aid.
see ya around the campus and enjoy the kewl journey your about to enter.
best regards,

Springhill,
re: WFRT
the WFPT has to be purchased by another company (thinkswimindicators) and installed onto the TOS. They give you instructions on how to.
Peruse the following if you had not not done so. This site is heavy and difficult at times to navigate around.
http://thinkswimindicators.com/indicator-suite/premiere-mastery/wfrt-scalper.html
http://www.store.thinkswimindicators.com/ keep click the right arrow until the WFRT scalper appears for $299.00 on the TSI store side.
the above WFPT is a separate program and has to be installed on the TOS. They give all kinds of instructions. It will take some to time to get acclimated to the WFPT. I removed a lot of the bells and whistles to where it only shows up and down arrows for buying selling and shorting and a few other indicators. I like to keep is simple and easy as posibble on the eyes to view.
Once on the TOS, it will be located in the stategies lists. Just add it like you would any other studies. I suggest you create a single chart and save it as WFPT- master. as a reminder if you make many changes to the chart, you must, MUST save it.
Since I have two monitors, I watch both the WFRT and the LBR_studies charts at the same time in real time. pretty kewl.
Hope this can help while enjoying a cup of caw fee by GMCR.
best regards,

Quilln
Thank you for the directions to the WFRT software.
I would never have found it on my own..
Since you use it all the time you must feel it is worth the $300?
I have set up the LBR scalper in ToS and starting to experiment with it.
BTW.. Adding up your service years and the time you have been trading you aren't quite a spring chicken are you?
I am 74 and been dabbling at trading for about 10 years.
Have kept my head above water most of the time but no real consistent results.
I do appreciate your willingness to share your expertise in such detail with the forum.
Yes, the SSI boogie man is a reality and the politicos won't step up to fix the darn thing..
Regards,

Quilln,
Once again appreciate for the details provided, taking the time to do the same and thanks for the same. My confusions on the price bubbles have been cleared. You mentioned that the FAZ/FAS performance can be viewed in the MDP. Where can we view the MDP ?

How do you increase the vertical size of a TOS chart so that you can see more lower studies?

Right click on the chart pane.
About halfway down you will see maximize grid cell
Click on that and the chart will fill the ToS display area.
to minimize
Right click on the pane again
Then click on minimize and it will return to regular grid size...
Novice07054, the link below will take you to Quilln's MDP post in fool..

Hope that helps

click on the my name which will show all messages written and then on page 1 kruz on down until you see the message number above.
then kruz down to the paragraph where it starts off with MDP as follows.......
when you see the article, kruz way down to the 3x area and in the middle of the pack is FAZ / FAS charts.
