1/23/2013 12:02:09 PM springhill, I tried to send you a message last night, but my internet service went down at midnight til 5 am this morning. I lost the message I was trying to send. It was WDC and KEG, both have and starting a cup and handle formation. re: bubbles bubbles will appear on any kind of chart. but let's look at the Flexible Grid chart with the 4 charts. one long and 3 shorts. to same time, to the right of the ticker symbol is the a coloured boxes. click on red for each box. when done, all the boxes will change to the ticker symbol at the same time. the top box I have today 1min the left bottom box, I have 3m D in the style tab under Daily then 3 months then Daily. the middle box, I have 2d 1m the right box , I have 5d 15min the exponential moving averages for each box is 5/15. add studies to find them. or edit studies then kruz down the studies list to find the MovAvgExponential (....) don't forget to apply when asked and then select OK. you can select candles or OHLC for the bars. This is only setup once for the rest of the time. It will always come back to the ticker you used last. Just becareful, bubbles do give headfakes. I just keep an eye on the 5 over the 15. If the 5 is above the 15, I ride it to the bubble or the xover when it start to head south. on my normal daily charts, I use an 8 pack 2 high 4 wide. 1d 1 min per box. 5/15 moving averages per box, OHLC for the bars. if you don't see the bubbles, use the slider bar. right now KEG is showing a high bubble, shorted the stock. Ditto for WDC at 10:12am. Hope this can help. Just take your time to get acclimated to the surroundings. Best regards, Quilln - ps. look the WDC chart, 3m D. note the lower bubble, then the xover on 12/3. still a buy signal and a nice ride sofar. |

1/23/2013 1:30:06 PM Quilln, Thank you very much for sharing the ToS setup. I was able to do as you instructed. Yes, the bubbles show up as described. Did you pick up WDC and KEG from the StockFetcher filter? I don't quite follow the 12/3 in your ps "ps. look the WDC chart, 3m D. note the lower bubble, then the xover on 12/3. still a buy signal and a nice ride sofar. " I trade FAS and VXX some. This setup would have worked nicely today. Thanks again. |

1/23/2013 2:34:25 PM springhill, re: flexible grid chart re: WDC WDC and KEG came off of yesterdays KST list (without the TSI's) as well as the KST-II list (with the TSI's) if you missed it, no biggy, click on any chart, view it, in the upper left hand corner, insert WDC or any of your favourite stock symbols. it will show what it is doing today and after what happened yesterday. same for KEG. The stock as shown is rising. The goal is to date or rent the stock for a profit target and get out. All during the day, new stocks are and added and substracted from the list. Getting back to your Question with reference to WDC after blowing it (3month Daily) up a bit on the Flexible grid chart, it should read 12/5 or december 5th. place the cursor on that date or at the 5/15 xover and what is it doing. Going up or going down. If WDC had a good earnings report, the stock will climb somemore. Tetter Totter plays Bulls vs Bears VXX, VXZ / XXV TVIX / XIV http://stockcharts.com/h-sc/ui?s=VXX&p=D&yr=0&mn=9&dy=0&id=p01417012733 why in the werld are you playing with a stock that is going down town when you should be on the teeter side going up with http://stockcharts.com/h-sc/ui?s=XXV&p=D&yr=0&mn=9&dy=0&id=p82823550032 going up and up. With the pairs, it's one or the othet as the 13/50 occurs. the purpose is to protect your ASSettes at all times. http://stockcharts.com/h-sc/ui?s=FAS&p=D&yr=0&mn=9&dy=0&id=p49357917043 good choice until the xover occurs. up over 35K as of today since Christmas for a nice present. if it drops 5 bars down from it's peak I am out. After that I would place a limit order to buy at least 1 penny above the selling price or label price just incase FAS does a swing a louie and heads north on me to get back in. Cancel the order if it continues to head south. Have fun and see ya around the campus. Quilln - |

1/23/2013 3:03:47 PM Quilln, Thank you for the clarification. I see what you mean about from December low. About the KST SF filter list. WDC and KEG were on yesterdays list of stocks I found with the SF filter. There were 80 plus others. Do you watch them all or do you have a process for eliminating many of them? Re VXX. I am doing puts on weekly options with it. Thanks again |

1/24/2013 12:05:18 AM springhill, Pecking order of finding stocks via the KST or TSI. The Philosophy is to make a little money on each trade and then get out. 1. Screen stocks that have a volume over 750K or more shares traded in the current day. (no execeptions) 2. Screen for all stocks from $5-$60 3. Screen for stocks greater than 2.5% change 4. Be prepared to take profits after 3%. Remember, we are Traders and not Investors. Trading: For kwik trading, trade 1000 shares at a time and look for $ .250 to $ .750 points. Want to get in and get out fast--in one day. Trying to make a couple of thousand dollars a week. Calm trading, trade 500 or 1000 or more shares at a time and look for $0.51 to $1.26. The last digit is for the commish. Want to get in and out in an orderly fashion. One last thougth and that this "Know your Exit before entering a trade !!" Happy hunting , enjoy the journey and see ya around the campus. Quilln - A poor church mouse scratching for a living. |

1/25/2013 5:25:50 PM Quilln, need your advice again. On stockcharts with Simon sez, do you use the 2 month chart with a 15 minute time frame when you watch for the price label to appear? Thank you very much and have a great weekend. |
