Chet, now that you mention it you're correct. I just hit 50 this year and the memory is starting to fade. Took you to jog my memory. Several months ago I did email Mary and she got back to me saying she'd share her secrets for $300.

Options give you options...
buy calls if you think the stock is going up, buy puts if you think its going down....
you can sell calls and get paid to sell your stock, buy puts to protect your profits....
say you want to sink all your capital into one stock.....buy the puts to protect your investement its like insurance against those nasty 30% gaps
I would practice and learn as much as you can befor you dive in the pool.
OptionsXpress is a good site, lots of info.
