cabogordon: don't have a favorite filter, I use a couple of filters depending on the market environment. My filters are very simple about 2 lines with an additional 2 lines for volume and price. My efforts are on trading, trading, trading, I don't look for patterns cuz everyone sees them these days, it doesn't give me an edge. Bollinger Bands are my edge cuz it's based on statistical analysis and most important is MONEY MANAGEMENT.

They are numerous excellent bullish/bearish filters on this site, find one that works for you and paper trade the heck out of it before going live. This site is loaded with priceless information just do a search.
Start by posting your paper or live entries/exits in the "intraday alerts", good or bad no one will judge.
