it's great that you post filters, i certainly am grateful , i think you would get a better response to the filters if you explained the how and why of each. after all why post if youre not looking for responses. 15 minutes of fame and all that?

1. Responses might happen. I agree with you, I am often posting without the request for a response.
My usual intention is to use StockFetcher as a storage location for my inventory of filters and thus share with the community.
2. I don't know how others create filters. I start with an indicator or measure and then look for visual patterns. I use the Internet and StockFetcher to research the "defined" use of the tool. Then I play with different options.
3. If I may, how might someone determine an appropriate exit point for the above filters?
4. My intent is for any filter to provide a better entry point than random. My intent in one word is: Profit. The exits I need to get better with.
5. Fame? In my opinion, fame usually destroys and usually brings false happiness. I prefer the intent for self-actualization (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Self-actualization).

I appreciate all the effort 4 put into his filters, the above filter provided me with 4(no pun intended) trading opportunities....EWU, CRH, STO,TOT. These stocks are all making higher lows and at their trendline....keep up the good work and thank you.

Four,
You post a lot of filters and seem like you know what you are doing. Do you have to go through that many filters to find one good one that is the basis for a profitable system?
Can you suggest any that you really like?

Thank you
A filter requires an entry and exit-gain and exit-loss plan.
Add money management and mental toughness.
A decision to go long, short or both.
As far as posting "many" filters... Each person needs to find the best path to take based on self-assessment.
To pick one item on my path: I seem to lean more toward taking an entry after a correction. Others average up or average down.
Paper trade the filters and they "will talk to you". An education is an investment in time and money. Even if trading is not for you... you will learn things and have experiences that would have been missed otherwise.
