Fetcher[RSI(2)is below 40 and RSI(2) above RSI(2) 1 day ago and On Balance Volume has been increasing for 1 day and close is between 1 and 10 and volume (10) is above 100000]

Just run this filter and see for yourself. I use the OBV movement as a confirmation to the RSI(2)bottom for some interesting picks...

Hey TX...

You took the filter I wrote for you and posted on SF, changed RSI(2) to < 40 and now you are naming it?

TheRump took the WILDCARD FILTER that I wrote and posted on 9/2/2003 at 11:50:10AM Eastern Time, and tweaked it his way below;

Fetcher[RSI(2) below 10 and RSI(2) above RSI(2) 1 day ago and On Balance Volume has been increasing for 1 day and close is between 1 and 10 and volume (10) is above 100000]

"Thanks for the tweak Rump", but I like it better the way I wrote it< 40,
pulls up better stocks, see for yourself.

I think Rump likes my filter. I found that RSI(2) < 40 in combination with OBV work better than RSI(2) <10 alone. So I wrote the Wildcard Filter.

As far as I know, SF is a site for members to write and modify filters to their own liking, and nobody owns any of the indicators, The Relative Strength Index (RSI) is a rate of change oscillator developed by J. Welles Wilder, Jr.

It's like the Zen philosophy:

You don't "create" a filter, the filter creates itself.
We are merely vessels to let energy flow to the creative process.

LOL
Keep modifying the filters, they're all good!!! Maybe between the collective genious of RumpledOne, HG, Zuber, Muddy, trapper, Noah, etc (sorry if I missed anyone) and yes even JoeG, better filters/methods/management techniques/whatever can be learned by ALL.

"and RSI(2) above RSI(2) 1 day ago " is what was missing from your filter and that is what really makes the difference.

So as you can see, I didn't just change 40 to 10.

Here is what I wrote and posted;

Fetcher[RSI(2)is below 40 and On Balance Volume has been increasing for 1 day and close is between 1 and 10 and volume (10) is above 100000]

BRINGS UP 8 GOOD LOOKING PICKS!
------------------------------------------------------
Then you "tweaked" my filter to this;

RSI(2) below 10 and RSI(2) above RSI(2) 1 day ago and On Balance Volume has been increasing for 1 day and close is between 1 and 10 and volume (10) is above 100000

Brings up one stock IMPH.. Change the 10 to 40 and it brings up the same 8 stocks as my original, different wording, same filter, SO WHO WROTE THE FILTER?

So actually Rump, all we have here is this, you took it on yourself to make changes to "my filter" that did not improve it in any way.

OK, I'll give you credit for that! Period
