i got 8.2 of that 16 which is good enough for me :)
i waited to see if it was going to cross above the morning high and bought when it did. sold after it peaked on its way back down towards the close.
to be honest i edited the filter for my taste 'where price is between 3 and 20' and its the only one that came back
sorry in advance for the off topic, but does anyone know if its possible to change your username from when you officially register? i cant find it.
cheers and thanks again !

lfrisch,
I installed MadScan with the info you provided,so far so good, but it doesn't work with Vista Ultimate (freezes) Check out: http://www.trade-ideas.com/GettingStarted.html. They provide an identical service, but at a charge of 65$/month. I'll still try to get MadScan Working; Did you encounter any problems?
Best regards,
Ludo Willems

Here a variation on my previous filter for short-term picks. Just added today, it shows some interesting results: ARD/ATVI/DRC/EP/FXI/WMGI. Let's see what happens tomorrow! (change close value at your convenience )
Fetcher
/* Short term bullish */
and Show stocks where MACD Fast Line(12,26,9) crossed above MACD Slow Line(12,26,9) in the last 3 days
and close is above 15.00
and average volume(30) is above 300000
and draw Average Volume(30)
and draw RSI(14) line at 30
and OBV has been increasing for 1 days
and MFI has been increasing for 2 days
and draw MA(15)
and draw MA(3)
and MA(3) is crossing MA(15) from below today

lfrisch,
MadScan looks great!
However, is it customizable enough to take into account all of the signals that the filter on this thread requires? Or am I not looking in the right place? It seems to have a real decent generic signal menu at this stage of its development.
Have you been able to build a scanning filter on MadScan that meets all of the criteria that we're looking for on this thread?

Hi Guys,
I emailed MadScan's technical support about their present capabilities in being able to build the Short Term Bullish scan. Here is their prompt reply:
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Jim,
Thanks, we are always glad to hear a good customer experience. With regards to your scan question [about "Short Term Bullish], would this be something that you would want as a custom scan for your personal use, or are you asking if you can currently set this scan up with our current filters and scan settings?
If its a custom scan, the answer is yes, we can set up just about any custom scan you can think off. There are additional monthly fees for this kind of service. If you are looking to set this scan up with our current criteria, the answer is not yet, not as a whole. You can configure certain parts of your scan. If you tell me what it is that your looking for specifically, maybe we can find another way to get to the same place.
Regards,
MadScan Technical Support

Gentlemen, See my previous post where I said that MadScan freezes under Vista. Well, for reasons only known by Bill Gates himself, the application started to run normally. I will put it to a test soon. Meanwhile, my filter keeps returning me nice profits... Have a look at X (USSteel): nearly 20% in ashort time means a lot of mony if you trade a CFD with leverage 10. Actually, as I am typing this, I enjoy a glass of champagne right now. Hard work needs a reward :)
