Here is a simple scan for those that like to keep things simple. This will find
bottom reversals along with pullbacks in uptrending stocks. This seems to
work well in consolidating markets as well, but not in downtrends. But, that
is ok as you don't want to be trading against the trend anyway.
This finds only stocks where a 5 day low was made and now we have a higher low.
Otherwise it would just be another 5 day low. With this scan, I am looking for an
open the next day at or above the close today. So, 5 day low, higher low the next day
and then open above close.
Pullbacks in uptrends are treated the same way with the same entry rules.
Very simple. Plus this can also be used on weekly charts for longer swing trades.
