I posted this filter before, but I'm trying to make it "clickable" for easy backtesting.
Stock
I have backtested quite a few other filters for a holding period of a week, over a period of several months, and few have measured up to this in ROI returns. The only exception might be one where the one-day drop is greater than 20%, but it might be a "falling knife" filter.
Although this is an RSI (2) filter, I'm not particularly promoting that parameter, but I'm interested to see if somebody comes up with better filter that can be backtested over a similar period of several months.

Hmmm...the filter I just posted doesn't backtest nearly as good as the one in my filter list, although the wording appears to be the same.

Hello corsino, I really like that filter, just change the (<1) to less than 1, got some excellent gains back testing this one thanks for posting it. bj

paul14, I rank in "trade.exe"
Sorry, I have not checked this thread for a while, so the answer comes late.
Here the code I bet money on:
show stocks where count(RSI(2) 1 day ago above 99,60) is above 0
and RSI(2) is below 5
and average volume(10) above 50000
and CLOSE ABOVE .20
and close more than 10% below close 1 day ago
and price * volume > 100000
Here the code in order to backtest
offset 0
show stocks where count(RSI(2) 2 day ago above 99,60) is above 0
and RSI(2) 1 day ago is below 5
and average volume(10) above 50000
and CLOSE ABOVE .20
and close 1 day ago more than 10% below close 2 day ago
and close more then 5% below close 1 day ago
and price * volume > 100000
Here how I trade it:
Take the first code example, let it run. Try to catch stocks that fall more then 5% best is more then 10%. Then buy.
25% Stop Loss, Hold for 4 Days. Always apply the same fixed fractional amount of you account value.
Here real results:
AGCI 8%
ADGD 12%
TELOZ 20%
EASY 3%
ZIXI 7%
WNI -3%
ATPL -24%
TMTA -1%
DIO 8%
SVNX 9%
RMCF 8%
APYM -10% (still open)
I missed a big gain yesterday due to traveling.

Bjerrells
I'm glad that the filter seems to be working well. I arbitrarily backtested it for a 1-week hold, but I noticed that at times the best profit may come after 3 days. So at times it may be best to sell a little early and not get greedy. A lot of short-term traders are after only a few percentage point gains and may dump the stock.
