RoyPope 12 posts msg #122942 - Ignore RoyPope	2/26/2015 2:23:41 AM I know some folks like to play the pennies from time to time (I know I do), but nobody wants to buy something that they cannot easily sell. Right? At barcharts.com they have a liquidity ratio expressed simply as a 100-Day Average Volume Divided by Shares Outstanding. I decided to work with that, as follows... I realize that pump-n-dumps commonly associated with pennies create huge spikes in volume which would result in a 100-Day Average Volume which would carry forward long after the "dump" was done and result in a meaningless liquidity ratio. So, I modified the formula to simply use a much shorter-term Average Volume figuring this would result in a more realistic current liquidity ratio. Anyhow, I put together this little filter to help locate pennies that would be easier to enter and exit short-term positions with. Hope some of you might be able to use it, or contribute modifications to improve upon it.
