I was listening to a web broadcast on Think or Swim today and they had a guest trader who uses something that Carter came up with using BB(20) and Keltner channels(1.5). The idea is that a "squeeze" occurs when the upper and lower BB are both contained within the Keltner Channels for a period of time. This trader had created code to build a TOS chart with a histogram which indicated when the BB left the Keltner channels either through the upper channel or the lower channel. He called this histogram a squeeze indicator.
I'm not sure if SF can create such a histogram but more importantly can SF select stocks that have been in this "squeeze" condition for awhile and then create a list of those stocks for either bullish or bearish entries based upon the BB escaping the keltner channels.
Thanks ahead a time.

All I did was add the Bollinger Bands and Keltner Channels to this Bullish Kicking filter.
Go back to 11-4-2010 and list the stocks that were most profitable for that day. You will find NCT with the Bollinger Bands and Keltner Channels in play
pattern is Bullish Kicking
and close is between 1 and 18
AND and and Average Volume(10) is above 100000
Draw Upper Keltner Band(20,1.5)
Draw Lower Keltner Band(20,1.5)
Draw Bollinger Bands(20)
Draw Rate of Change(13,21)
Draw StochRSI(14,14)
Draw Slow Stochastics Slow %D(10)
Draw QStick(12)
Draw ADX(14)
Draw Williams %R(14)

I just watched Carter on sfomag.com archives. I understand the part about one set of bands moving inside the other set of bands but I don't understand the use of the indicators at the bottom of your filter's charts. How are those indicators used here?

I just added them for the heck of it. I myself just have MACD and Bollinger Bands (20) as part of my default settings. I then add the others on a case by case basis.

Look at this filter then look at it one day ago. One can do a double clink the top first profitable from yesterday and SF will put the in order as to most profitable and so forth.
Show stocks where CMF(14) crossed above 0
and close is between 1 and 25
AND and and Average Volume(10) is above 100000
Draw Upper Keltner Band(20,1.5)
Draw Lower Keltner Band(20,1.5)

I backtested this filter against a positive buying scenario (pick a previous positive buying environment) and my results were 80% Wins and a ROI = 70.5%. My sell trigger was when my slow stochstic %D would go over the 80 marker. Or you could have a trigger that when your MACD(12,26,9)fast line crossed below its slow line or if you had 2 consecutive negative price days. With this particular filter maybe you would have something else as your sell trigger? Your call.
