All I can really say is it is not "what", but "how". Can't explain much further I guess.

That's more elusive than M4M's posts :), but congrats to you on your success.

chetron,
Am I reading this correctly? SD50= 50 day standard deviation. If so I really like this filter.

Try it with the IFT(5,9) and the RSI(2) on the RSI(2) weekly plots.

the chart shows historical price movement in a particular stock dependant on sentiment at earnings.
as you can see historically anyway..Bullish earnings in PCLN rose slightly after good earnings but popped after 15-19 days.
I agree with M4M as far as bullishness in the stock..but I dont see 300-1000% on the nov 220-230 calls he does unless this market hits a double top (not likely) by expiration. I do see a good bet on the dec calls at the same strike as there we likely be more institutional buying into the close of the month. Priceline best quarter is behind them and with their earnings projected at half for the next quarter over this last one I dont see a sigificant increase in institutional buys unless they revise higher. I am showing some divergance in the shorts and I believe this bull run is coming to a close. It seems the market shook off the UM sentiment index today but I think it will take hold monday. Really waiting to see if the asian markets follow and what the dollar does. I do think we will be flat through expiration if not a slight correction.
I do hope I'm wrong, I'm still holding Nov calls on PCLN but I traded out of GMCR puts & CTRP calls today and went to CTRP puts for a little insurance on my long. I'm going to do quite a bit of research this week on SHLD. The retail sector has given me a rough time this year, hard to predict.
