I am very new at this . What are better options?

Depending on your volume (number of trades/shares per day) you can get a price per share anywhere from .003/share to .0055/share and get all the way up to 10:1 leverage on your cap.
This isnt for everyone, if you trade very large clips of stock at a time, you are better of with a scott trade, but if you trade 100-1000 shares per trade on average or make a lot of smaller trades to find the bigger trade a smaller fee structure work. It all depends on what you need.

I am starting with 1000. And I am using TRO's swing traders slow cooker stat scan. With this I like RDN and its at about $4.00. So I am buying somthing like 200 - 250 shares.
So I go for the 2% pop then sell. With the 2% I clear a 1% profit after the $14 round trip fee.
Where can I go to get cheaper trades?
Also ANY other pointer would be great.
thank you,
StJoe,
PS I just recived "TRADING IN THE ZONE" bY mark Douglas per TRO's advise.
I cant wait to dive in!

If you just make 1 trade a day then leverage and cost is not a big issue. Once you become more active or are looking fto become more active or need leverage on your cap let me know and I would be happy to help.

I am very interested in becoming more active. I am just want to make sure I make all the right moves. My personality is "over analitical" so I really want to understand the moves I make.
Do you have an e mail?
Or you could e mail my spam account at stjoeburnett@yahoo.com and then I will respond with my primary e mail to you.
Thanks again!

IB hands down. Search for ad-ons for better charting OR use quotetracker for the charts with IB feed and execution. You will save thousands in comissions.......especially if you are trading 100-200 shares per trade.
Save the scottrade account for IRAs/long terms, and Trade Ideas...............................too easy. You'll look at the $14 round trip and ask..."what the hell was I thinking?"

Here's a link for reviews. Search for IB front-ends and then review these review or pm the author with quetions. Zeroline, button trader, and Ninja all work well as does the previosuly stated "free" version of Medved's Quote Tracker. GL, happy trading :)
