The default channel scans don't seem to work that well and was wondering if someone had a better way to scan for channeling stocks similar to X, CG, and COH? Thanks!

Have you tried the "linear regression channels"? For example, the following filter would be a good one to use in an uptrend.

Fetcher[
Close is near the bottom linear regression line(100,0.7)
chart-time 1 year
]
