Simple but effective. Here's a filter that catches the specific stock bottoming and looping back. Try it out and please let me know how any of you can improve this further. Of course results always much better when the markets are in a positive mood.

Linear Regression(45,1.0)
and price is increasing previous 2 days
and price is between 3 to 50
and -di(14) is above 30
and -di(14) is decreasing previous 2 days
and +di(14) is increasing previous 2 days
and adx(14,14) is above +di(14)
and date offset is 68

Goodluck and hopefully we can all make some money off this sweet one.

I added another programmed tool for this sweet filter. I added "volume(5) is above 300000". This will refine the search to hotter stocks ready to pop higher. Here is my revision to this sweet filter:

Linear Regression(45,1.0)
and price is increasing previous 2 days
and price is between 3 to 50
and -di(14) is above 30
and -di(14) is decreasing previous 2 days
and +di(14) is increasing previous 2 days
and adx(14,14) is above +di(14)
and volume(5) is above 300000
and date offset is 68

Improve where you can and please let us see your improvement. Lets all benefit from our combined efforts. Thanks!

Ok this is my last tweek before I hand this filter off to you my fellow forum members. I am adding a moving average condition and revised the price range. Hopefully this will produce stocks ripe for popping to the upside. This filter looks like it would be nice for short term pops:

Linear Regression(45,1.0)
and price is increasing previous 2 days
and price is between 1 to 100
and -di(14) is above 30
and -di(14) is decreasing previous 2 days
and +di(14) is increasing previous 2 days
and adx(14,14) is above +di(14)
and volume(5) is above 300000
and price is above MA(15)
and date offset is 68

Revise where you can and show the rest of us how we can make some money off this one. Thanks!

The first line "Linear Regression . . ." does nto do anything. Are you trying to draw it or use it?

kgriffen, thanks for the catch on this. This was added in error and not realizing that this condition wasn't doing anything. If you can add anything to this current filter to enhance it (yes minus this linear regression line) please do so. What currently is shown here is quite simple and effective for short profitable pops in its pricing actions.

Thanks!

Seems like an interesting filter but I can't get it to pop up stocks to evaluate as buys - does it work for you Marine2?

Here is my latest updated filter:

linear regression(10) slope reached a new 3 month low
and slow stochastic %D is below 25
and day change % is below 2.0
and day change % is above 0
and macd(12,26) is below -1
and draw cci(14)
and draw lower bollinger(14)
and draw MA(30) and draw MA(50)

Try it, tweek it, report back to us, ok? Seems this one shows lots of explosive upside potential. Isn't that why we rework these things, to bring out the best in that filter? You betcha.

Hope to hear back from you guys tracking my updates, thanks for at least looking anyways.

Ha, I guess my latest tweek wasn't worth anyone's time. I guess I will remain silent from now on and let everyone else do the communicating. One of our own forum members, not myself but another person, he was expressing his dismay on peoples non-committal feelings when it comes to sharing their thoughts with others. I know how he feels. Goodluck you all and may all your wishes come true.
