Hello. I have a simple filter i wanted to try out and can't figure out why it won't work. here it is:
CCI(14) between 35 and 45
CCI(14) between -120 and -90 within the last 2 weeks
It does not bring up any stocks. Even if i put cci(14) between 35 and 100 it still does not find any. BTW The strategy behind this filter is buy when cci has come up and touched 40 you buy. When it hits 100 you get out and if it comes down to 0 then you take a stop loss. I have found though that if it hits a hundred it will typically go up over it for awhile (so i would prolly get out at a like 3 week resistance level). Anyway thanks for all your help!

Jeep -
Ignore my post, I was playing with this filter and hit "post" rather than "test." I'll see what I can do with it though.

The reason I wrote "CCI(14)had been below 100 within the last 1 week", is because I wanted to give you an opportunity to capitalize on the stocks FALLING from below +100. There wont be that many, but the ones that are, will bounce off the "0" line and head back up. Also, I forgot the "offset" feature for you to test recent days. So here it is.....
I left out the "Slow Stochastics(5,3)" because I didn't know if you even use it. I personally Live by it. Also, I'm a huge fan of CCI as well....
Good Luck,
RIGGS.

Thanks again Riggs. Looks to be a great start. Looking in the past most of the stocks the filter produces do go up for a couple of days after the signal.

Glad I could help. Since you too are a CCI fan, here's a little CCI divergence filter I've been using that helps with some of my entries.....

LOL... I'm awake now...
But I haven't done much with CCI... Looks like you have it covered, Riggs.
